Position Title:  Project Coordinator

Reports To:  Senior Technical Project Manager

Position Description: The Project Coordinator will assist the technical project managers within the Converge PMO in setting up projects in the tracking system, tracking project milestones, approving timecards, tracking progress against budgets and overseeing invoices to be submitted to customers.   They may help coordinating meetings, assigning resources, and providing project documentation to the team and client executives.  Project Coordinators handle projects with the goal of seeing them through on time and within budget. Project Coordinators’ roles are crucial to a company’s success because they ensure projects run smoothly by controlling workflow, scheduling assignments, evaluating the course of the project and reporting its status to the management and stakeholders.

 

When not working with customers, you’ll be helping to improve our PMO Practice.  This includes working with the PMO team on process improvements, reporting needs and managing the customer survey process.

 

Essential functions:

  • Project setup
  • Time tracking to budgets
  • Collect data and generating management information reports
  • Prepare standard paperwork such as correspondence, forms, bills, statements, receipts, or other documents using established procedures
  • Maintain spreadsheets, reports, logs, and process documents
  • Provide information in support of requests regarding projects and programs
  • Perform various administrative duties in support of the department under moderate supervision, these functions may include invoice review and processing, scheduling activities
  • May handle confidential materials / information

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Advanced Excel knowledge
  • MS Project, Smartsheets or similar project management tool is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and system documentation tools
